Prom Ambassador?
A Prom Ambassador is excited, friendly and outgoing and plays a positive role model to represent Brides of Dorset with confidence and style!
What does a Prom Ambassador do?
As one of our Prom Ambassadors, you’ll help to distribute information regarding prom trends, fashions, sales and promotions with school/year group peers and for Brides of Dorset social media advertising. Prom Ambassadors will also be asked to model prom dresses from Brides of Dorset to be used as advertising.
Why do you need Prom Ambassadors?
We need your help promoting our upcoming 2025 Prom Season range, and in return you will earn rewards and have so much fun working with our team as well as gaining some valuable experience.
Could I be a Prom Ambassador?
Do you love modelling, taking selfies and are you excited to help us reach out to people in the area to help them find their perfect dress? Prom Ambassadors should share our mission to help everyone find a dress they feel beautiful in, regardless of their unique physical qualities, budget, or anything else! We are looking for an Ambassador from a selection of Schools who will not only be given the opportunity to earn £££’s off their own Prom dress, but who will also be given the first choice of our stunning dresses.
What is your Prom Dress Policy?
We will not duplicate dresses within any one school year group, meaning only one of each style of our dresses will be sold per school prom event.
Will the Prom Dresses fit me?
We stock from size 2-18 on our off the peg dresses in a range of colours, styles and designers, or any size from size 2-30 available on our made to order Tiffany Prom dresses, which all come in a selection of different colours to choose from and budgets ranging from £150-£599.
How are Prom Ambassadors chosen?
Our programme is open to all senior school ages in Years 11 or 13. After completing the application form on the Brides of Dorset website, all entries will be reviewed by us, and a video call will be arranged with the top selected candidates. One candidate will then be chosen per school for both year 11 and year 13.
What are the rewards and benefits of being a Prom Ambassador for Brides of Dorset?
The selected Prom Ambassadors can earn up to £300 off a prom dress of their choice from Brides of Dorset. You’ll also receive professional photos of yourself and lots of personal selfies in all your favourite dresses. A chance to be treated like a real model for the day with professional hair and make up and photography/ videography at our prom promotional photo shoot. The opportunity to just have fun and gain confidence in your own unique body image.
How could I earn Prom Ambassador Credits?
All Prom Ambassadors will be given Brides of Dorset Business Cards with their names on the reverse, to distribute to their friends, year group peers etc. For each business card presented (or prom ambassador name given at time of purchase on prom dresses), the named Ambassador will receive £10 in prom dress credit, to be used against the purchase of their prom dress at Brides of Dorset. The more candidates you recommend to Brides of Dorset who purchase a dress from us, the more credit you will receive against your prom dress. The prom ambassador’s name must be provided at the time of purchase and it is each prom ambassador’s responsibility to make peers aware of this.
Step 1: Prom Ambassador Rules
These rules contain important information which all candidates must read and agree, before applying.
- Parents’ permission must be granted to apply and become a prom ambassador, with consent for all photography/videography to be taken and shared via social media platforms and websites. Brides of
Dorset will need to witness parents signing the consent form for successful applicants. - Applications will close on Sunday 22nd September 2024. No late entries will be accepted.
- Interviews will take place via video calls between 23rd – 28th September 2024 and the chosen prom ambassadors will be notified by Sunday 29th September 2024.
- Each girl will have 48 hours to accept or decline the position. If no response is given, we will assume you are no longer interested and will choose a new ambassador from your school.
- Chosen Prom Ambassadors must be available for a promotional photoshoot on Sunday 13th October 2024 at the Brides of Dorset boutique in Gillingham, Dorset.
- Prom Ambassadors will be asked to pay a deposit for their chosen prom dress and final balance to be paid after credits are deducted at the end of the prom season (or monthly payment plan can be arranged if preferred).
- For every prom dress sold with the prom ambassador’s name given at time of sale, £10 credit will be rewarded to that named ambassador, to be used against the purchase of their own dress.
- A maximum of £300 in credit per ambassador can be earned and used against their chosen prom dress. You are responsible for paying the remaining balance on your dress.
- Each Prom Ambassador needs to reach out to as many classmates/year group peers in the year 11 or year 13 year groups as they can, to promote the prom dresses sold at Brides of Dorset. The more dresses sold on promotion from the prom ambassador, the more money they will earn off of their own prom dress.
- A minimum of 4 required posts a month must be posted on the ambassadors social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or SnapChat etc and tagging Brides of Dorset in each post.
- Two of your required monthly posts/stories/reels must be of an Ambassador physically in a prom dress from Brides of Dorset. There will be 2 more required posts that are up to the discretion of the Ambassador. A mix of still photos and videos should be used.
- If an Ambassador fails to complete their obligations, credits will be void and a new Ambassador may be chosen at any time.
